Password Generator Online Free — Strong Random Passwords

People are bad at inventing passwords. We reuse them, add a 1! at the end, and pick words that mean something to us — which is exactly what makes them guessable.

ToolHub's password generator creates random passwords with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so there is no pattern to guess.

Generate one now: ToolHub Password Generator.

What You Can Control

  • Length from 4 to 128 characters
  • Batch size from 1 to 20 passwords at once
  • Character sets: lowercase, uppercase, numbers, symbols, and extended symbols
  • Your own characters to add, and characters to exclude
  • Exclude look-alikes such as O and 0 or l and 1, and ambiguous symbols
  • Require every selected set to appear at least once
  • Prefix, suffix, and grouping, for example xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

Each password shows its entropy and a strength rating, with suggestions when a setting weakens it.

How Strong Is Strong Enough?

Strength comes from how many passwords the settings could produce. Entropy measures that in bits: every extra bit doubles the number of guesses an attacker needs.

EntropyRating
Under 40 bitsWeak
40–59 bitsFair
60–79 bitsStrong
80–109 bitsVery strong
110 bits and upExcellent

With the default settings, a 16-character password lands in the very strong range. Length helps more than anything else: adding characters raises entropy faster than adding symbol types.

How to Generate a Password

  1. Open the password generator.
  2. Set the length and choose the character sets the site accepts.
  3. Turn on grouping or a prefix if you need a specific format.
  4. Generate, then copy the password — or the whole batch.

Store it in a password manager. A strong password you cannot remember should live there, not in a notes file.

Private by Design

Passwords are generated in your browser tab with the Web Crypto API. They are never sent to a server, and they are not saved — only your settings are kept in your browser for next time.

A share link carries the settings, not the passwords, so you can give a team the same rules without passing credentials around.

Generated passwords exist only on your screen until you copy them.

Pick the rules. Generate. Store it somewhere safe.
