Privacy Policy

ToolHub is privacy-first by design. This page explains, in plain language, how your data is handled when you use the site and the defaults that apply to every tool.

  • No accounts
  • No tracking cookies
  • In-browser processing
  • No file retention

At a glance

ToolHub is built so that your files and inputs stay on your device. Most tools run entirely inside your browser tab; nothing is uploaded, no account is needed, and there is nothing for us to retain after you close the page.

  • We do not create user accounts or profiles.
  • We do not store the files you process with ToolHub.
  • We do not sell, share, or trade personal data with advertisers.
  • Anonymous aggregate analytics may be collected to understand which tools are useful.

How tools process your data

The majority of ToolHub utilities — image converters, PDF tools, text generators, and similar — run client-side using JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser. Your files never leave your device for these tools.

A small number of operations (for example, certain image transformations powered by Sharp) require server-side processing for performance reasons. In those cases your data is held briefly in memory only for the duration of the request and is discarded immediately after the response is returned. We do not write your files to disk, log their contents, or back them up.

What we collect

We aim to collect the minimum information required to run the site reliably. The categories below describe everything we may receive.

  • Request metadata: standard HTTP information such as IP address, user agent, and timestamp, used for security, abuse prevention, and basic error reporting.
  • Aggregate usage analytics: counts of page views and tool invocations, with no link to a personal identifier. You can disable analytics through your browser settings, an extension, or a Do Not Track signal.
  • Local preferences: settings such as theme, language, or recently used tools, stored in your browser via localStorage. These never leave your device.

What we do not collect

  • The contents of files you upload, paste, or generate with ToolHub tools.
  • Personal identifiers such as name, email, or phone number — we do not ask for them.
  • Cross-site tracking identifiers or advertising cookies.
  • Biometric, location, or device fingerprints beyond standard request metadata.

Cookies and local storage

ToolHub does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We may use a small number of first-party cookies or localStorage entries strictly to remember interface preferences (such as dark mode) and to support core site functionality.

  • Preference storage is local to your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
  • You can clear it any time from your browser settings without affecting tool functionality.

Third-party services

ToolHub is hosted on standard cloud infrastructure that processes requests on our behalf. These providers may receive request metadata (IP, user agent) as part of routing traffic to the site, governed by their own privacy commitments. We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social tracking pixels, or session-replay services.

Data retention

Because we do not store the files you process, there is nothing to retain on a per-user basis. Server logs that include request metadata are kept for a short period for operational and security purposes and are then deleted or anonymised.

Children's privacy

ToolHub is a general-purpose utility site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate.

Your rights

Because ToolHub does not maintain accounts or persistent profiles, there is typically no personal data tied to you for us to access, export, or delete. Where applicable laws grant you rights over personal information, you can exercise them by contacting us at the email address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as ToolHub evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ToolHub after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Questions, concerns, or requests about this policy can be sent to privacy@toolhub.com. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
